Welcoming 2015

Welcoming 2015
Welcoming 2015

New Year‘s first day….. A year has passed and suddenly I am looking at memories of last year with a different perspective. As if I am reliving each day of last year, today.

Welcoming 2015

I am thinking about all the people I met last year. I am remembering those whom I have lost this past year. I am thinking about all those silly worries of last year, who no longer means to me anymore. I am thinking about those small changes I did in my life to make my life better. I am remembering this whole past year as if today is the day of judgment; of finding out what I did right and what wrong?

Welcoming 2015

I am doing it since yesterday. Yeah, I know, I think too much.

Even when I was celebrating New Year, I was self evaluating myself for the events of past year.

Now, when I am writing about all of this, it made me realize that actually, my last year was perfect. Infact all the years were.

I am what I am, because of what my past have taught me. And I am happy with the result. I am happy with myself.

I am happy with what I am today.

Welcoming 2015

I am happy with the quality of people who came into my life. I am also happy for the quantity of people who are no longer in my life. Seriously, my life is better without them. I am happy for the loved ones who have lost the journey of life, and are no longer with us; because somewhere they have taught us the true meaning and worth of life. I am satisfied that small things of life do irritate me. I got worried about silly things, means that I do notice all the small details and little happiness of life. I value them.

The thing that I am most happy about is that I did change myself. I did improve. I did small things that matters to me and people around me. I am happy because I have helped other. I am happy because I have accepted, where I was wrong. I am happy because I have learnt from my mistakes. I am happy for being myself.

What I want from this New Year is that – Make me a better person, than the one I was last year.

Welcoming 2015

Grateful for everyone and everything, because Life is just Perfect.

Happy New Year!!!

2014 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 12,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 4 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Christmas is over and what a Christmas it was!! Glitz and glitter everywhere. Every house and every tree shimmering in beautiful colorful lights. Holiday songs playing on radio and television. Everybody shopping for gifts and every store outdoing itself in throwing holiday deals.

Christmas was in the air. Everywhere. 🙂

Has Showing Off of Gifts, Taken Over The Spirit Of Christmas?

Except, on social networking platforms, where war of word is going on about the showing off of Christmas Gifts.

Big Question is – If we should post the picture of Gifts that we have given to our kids for Christmas?

Some argue, that this is a way of showing off of how much you can afford? How much you can spend on your gifts? How expensive your gifts are and how many of them you have bought?

Would it be called bragging, if you are posting a picture of your Kid with 10 gifts under Christmas tree for him?

Every parent wants to give their child the very best of the world, but not every parent can afford a new Tablet/Phone, or a brand new Video Game. Does that mean, that they love their kids any less? Or, should their kids feel less blessed this Christmas?

But, there is also another viewpoint. The perspective that it is a festive season, and holidays are for pampering your kids and loved ones with toys and gifts of expensive nature. If not now then when? You would love to have your kid to have that brand new video game this Christmas, if this is what he was longing for. So what’s wrong with that? If you want to post a picture of your elated kid with his Gifts, then what is wrong with kid? Everyone wants to see a Happy Child.

As they say, to each his own. In this case too, it depends on what are you trying to convey to the world and to your kid too. Ultimately, Christmas is the festival celebrating birth of Jesus, who has given everything for the less fortunate ones.

It is a festival of giving. Let us teach our kids importance of giving, along with rejoicing the joys of receiving.

On that note Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year !!!
