What does being Dead means?

What does being Dead means?
What does being Dead means?

No, I am not being all dark or over inspired by death. I am not built the pessimistic way. It’s just some events and a writer’s theme inspired me to think about it. You now must be knowing it well enough, that what I think, I write.

So, the thought process started with, what it would be like to be a dead person? What would happen to me one day (not soon hopefully), when I will die?

Strangely, have you ever noticed, when someone dies we actually never think about that person. Yes, it’s true. We rather talk about how was that person in the past. We say, oh he was such a nice man, he was very kind, so lovable. Why it happened to him, he was so full of life?

Or we will think about what would have been his future, only if he hasn’t met this fatal end. We will say, oh he was so bright, he was just about to open up a new business. Or he could have been married next year.

Mostly, we talk about the family, which was left devastated by the loss. We will think about them, their future, like what will happen to them now? How will they cope? How will they move on? What will happen to the kids, to the wife?

We are always worried about the living.

Has anyone thought about it the other way, like where is that person now? Is he seeing us, worrying about his family? Is he around us? Is he crying over his own death, or thinking about the crisis that his family is facing? How is he coping with all this loss? Every one else has lost one important person from their life, but him, he has lost everyone, in just a second. He has lost his mother, father, wife, kids, his aspirations, ambitions, future, everything.

What it would be like if someday I’ll be dead? What would happen to me? What if there is no hell or heaven? I will not go anywhere and will stay here with everyone, just invisible. Not like a ghost, or maybe a ghost just without any demonic powers. What if I’ll be just like an invisible person which can do nothing other than watching everyone going on with their daily routine in few days, weeks, or months.

What it would feel like if after a year of my death (hopefully no sooner), I will be sitting on the same couch with my hubby, but he won’t even notice my presence, or what if he is with someone else? What if he is happy and back to his lively self? What if he is same, like the way he was when I was alive? What if my parents who gave life to me, would not even think of me in their prayers? What would it feel like when my own kids will forget about me. They will adapt to their new life, move on. A life of which I am not a part of. Maybe they won’t even know what their mother was like. Would that hurt me? Hurt me more than the death? Yes, it will hurt me. More than the death itself.

What does being Dead means?
What does being Dead means?

But, what it would feel like if after a year of my death, I will be sitting on the same couch with my hubby, but he would be all miserable, depressive because of my death? What if he is no longer that laughing, cheering, and full of life person that I fall in love with? What would I feel? What if I’ll saw my parents losing faith in God, because their precious child is taken away? What if I will see everyone in my family secretly crying and hiding their tears, so that they will look strong in front of others? What if I will see my kids still waiting for their Mamma to come back. Come back from somewhere, but just come back. What if they are still waiting? Would that hurt me? No, it will not only hurt me. It will tear me down. It will break me the way no death can ever do. It would be the worse.

I would prefer to go to hell for eternity than see my family like this.

I now know for sure that I would be content even with my death, if my family will move on. If they would live a life, which is full of Life. I would want them to move on. Maybe, I would be able to move too.

I am not dead. Not yet.

Thus I pray to God, that no one loose their loved ones.

I just pray…

My Last Day

My Last Day
My Last Day

Every morning we woke up and go on with our daily routines, school, college, work, office, market, breakfast, lunch, dinner and so on…. We are living same life again and again. Daily going through the same routine, same tasks, same problems and sometimes same emotions.

But what if, someday you will just come to know that today is your Last Day. I know, no one would like to imagine that, or to live that. But, just think about it, if one morning when you woke up, and you just somehow came to know that today is the last day of your life, and in the night when you will sleep, there will be no tomorrow.

What will you do then? What will you do on your very last day?

I have heard so many versions of this Last Day from friends, families and sometimes total strangers. Largely people say that they will do only good deeds on their last day. They will try to help other people, they will give food, clothes, money, love to everyone who is seem to be in need of it. Why? Because if they will do good deeds than their place after death will be secured in heaven. As if Satan will impart them just because they were good on their last day. Maybe it’s true. How would I know? Satan haven’t discussed it with me. 😦

One of my friend has a total different opinion. He said that if he will know about his Last Day, he will do every bad thing that he wanted to do, but hadn’t done because he was apprehensive of the consequences. Now on his last day, he could do any sort of thing? What worse could happen, he is going to die nevertheless. He has a point. But, doesn’t it mean that over the years he was just wearing a mask of being good. Well, I think most of us have that mask over us, and will probably be in our worst behavior if not for the sake of this mask.

My Last Day
My Last Day

Again coming back to the Last Day, one lady who is a housewife said that if she would know about her last day, she will live that day more adventurously. Maybe she will leave everything behind and just drive to some unknown place, or will try to befriend a total stranger, or will just live her life for the very first time, for the very last day. But, if she wanted to run away than why didn’t do it now? Why to wait for the end to start something new?

Few have said that they will drain their sorrows of last day in drinks and will party whole day and night till their last breath. That’s a really good option for those who want to just forget every pain, every happiness around them and will just immerse themselves in something which will fade away even their last memory.

What will I do?

My current state of mind says that if today will be my last day, I will probably do nothing.

I will just have my same old hot cup of Coffee in my favorite black large mug, and will sit on my favorite spot at the corner of the sofa near the large open window of my living room, will look at the same tree in front of my home; tree that sometimes seems to consume the little Sun in the orange blue sky of morning; tree that sometimes throw out so many black birds chirping and gushing out like they are late for their office work. I will probably try to soak everything. Then in all likelihood, I will hold my current read and will sip the hot coffee while immersing myself in someone else words of wisdom. After having this long ‘Me Time’ I would prefer to lie cuddled in the arms of my love, my hubby, and watch the two most naughty boys of this world tease the sweetest girl by breaking her dolls and pulling her hairs. I would love to see all three of my kids fighting and then come running to me complaining about each other. I would love to spend my last day just like this, doing nothing, just observing and doing nothing in particular. But then coming to think of it, I am living my every day just like I would have lived my Last Day. I am among those lucky ones who are living what they have ever dreamed of.

My Last Day
My Last Day

That was how I would live my last day.

How will You spend your day, if it will be your Last Day?

Why We Pray to Shiva Linga?

Disclaimer: This article is based on my understanding made through reading various religious and spiritual books. Being a science student I have always looked for reasons behind everything, even when I know that some things can not be explained. Still, I have tried. Fool me. In no way my intentions are to hurt feelings or beliefs of anyone. In fact I am not strong enough to hurt your beliefs. So, try to read the below article with an open mind, otherwise you always have the choice of not reading it.

Why We Pray to Shiva Linga
Shiva Linga

Every time we bring Lord Shiva to our thoughts, there are generally two images that come to our mind. One that has form of a male human God wearing animal skin, having a drum (dumroo) in the hand, Ganga flowing throw hairs and snakes curled around the blue colored neck. Another image is that of a Shiva Linga, to be precise, denoting male phallus and female sexual organ (yoni) at the base.

Why We Pray to Shiva Linga
Shiva

But, why these two representation of Lord Shiva?

First lets discuss that why we are praying to what looks like the sexual organs of male and female body. So, while I was reading about the Kundalini, the Seven Chakras, and spiritual course of universe coming into existence from a single energy source. It struck me that what I have read in various religious books like Vedas, Shuk-Sagar and Shiv Puraan about Devas location and their role in universe creation, is actually so much related to our body, the Chakras inside and the sleeping Kundalini residing in the body.

Why We Pray to Shiva Linga
Chakras

Kundalini which dwells in the base of our spine in the Muladhaar Chakra, sleeps there in the coiled form. It rests in coiled form and thus sometimes expressed as a serpent, also named Bhujungi. This Kundalini when awakened is The Shakti, the ultimate energy form in its full power. Shakti which as per Indian Vedas and Puraans is the AadiShakti and companion of AadiShiva. Shiva who is static, used his Shakti the kinetic energy, to create the universe and everything in the universe. It is The Shakti, who has created everything as per the intention of Shiva, and she is thus the Mother of all. Sometimes also, referred as Mother Nature (Prakriti), and Maya the illusion.

Why We Pray to Shiva Linga
Shiva Shakti

Shakti and Shiva both complement and complete each other. Without his Shakti, Shiva is nothing, and without Shiva, Shakti is of no use. This can be stated in simple terms as, if Shakti is power, than Shiva is the Power Holder. If the power holder is not able enough or deserving to hold the power, then the power can not be put into any use. Same way, if a deserving power holder do not have enough power in his hands, he can not do anything useful. Thus, a union of Shiva and Shakti can be the only one powerful enough to create and hold everything in the union as one. That’s why when Shiva created this universe (Srishti), with the help of his Shakti, he took the form of Ardhnarishvar, God represented as half male and half female form.

Why We Pray to Shiva Linga
Shiva Shakti
Why We Pray to Shiva Linga
Why We Pray to Shiva Linga

Coming to how Kundalini is related to the universe creation and Shiva Shakti. Not going into much details here, (maybe in some another post), When Shakti was creating the Universe, one form that she took was, of Prakrti. As Prakrti she evolves Mind (Sixth Chakra), senses and matter of five forms namely Ether (fifth Chakra), Air (Fourth), Fire (Third), Water (Second), and Earth (last Muladhaar Chakra). When Shakti entered the last Chakra, her last creation of universe, she then went to rest there in her coiled sleeping form. This sleeping coiled Shakti is termed as Kundalini. This coiled Shakti, in her lowest form is represented as a serpent (Shakti) clinging to Linga (Shiva),or a yoni (Shakti) making a base for Linga (Shiva). Thus, when we are praying to a Shiva Linga we are also praying for the awakening of the Shiva’s Shakti.

Why We Pray to Shiva Linga
Shiva Linga

In her true or active form, this Shakti travels through all the six Chakras upwards and move to the seventh Chakra, Shashrara lotus Chakra or Crown Chakra, the Chakra of Shiva. Shiva is said to reside in the Crown Chakra, the highest point. Shakti or Kundalini when awakened to her highest state moves to the Crown Chakra to unite with her Shiva. Here, with the union of Shiva and her Shakti, Moksha is achieved, as this is the stage of God. Here, Shiva and Shakti in union are represented as a point (Bindu), which is in reality the point of creation and also destruction of universe.

Why We Pray to Shiva Linga
Chakra

Now, to mention why Shiva is represented as two forms, one as Shiva Linga and other as a God in human form. My rendition is that, Shiva when represented as Shiva Linga is shown in his true formless nature, the Aadideva Shiva, in union with his Shakti. But, Shiva when represented as human god, is Mahadev (not Aadideva), along with Parvati by his side (but, not in union). This is the place which Mahadev or Rudra has taken along with other MahaDevs like, Vishnu and Brahma to take care of the Srashti (Universe), created by the Aadidevas Shiva-Shakti.

Hope my interpretation is helpful in explaining what can not be explained.

Let Shakti be with you and you be the Shiva.

Meditation For The Love Of It : Book Review

Meditation For The Love Of It

Meditation For The Love Of It

(Book Review)

When you are interested in knowing something, you will find so many ways to achieve it. That is what happening with me. Since I have started doing Chakra Meditation, I am picking books, articles and every possible opportunity which is increasing my thirst more and more on learning about it. This book “Meditation for the Love of it” by “Sally Kempton” has also enhances my learning experience.

Coming to the review of book, this book is very good for the ones who wants to start their Meditative journey. Author has provided a detailed description of her experience in meditation and her Kundalini awakening episodes. Sally Kempton has spent her 40 years of life in immersing herself in meditation. She has learned the meditation techniques by her Indian spiritual Guru. Their teachings and guidelines are also mentioned in the book in very descriptive format.

If we talk of what does not clicked with me while reading this book, then there is only one point which makes it somewhat less interesting. The point being, it is less of self help book and more of Sally’s meditation journey. It’s actually good for those who are not sure if Meditation is meant for them, and they should proceed with it in their regular life or not. It could be a good inspiration to start Meditation. For those who are just looking for more techniques and exercises for meditation, this book has the information scattered around in a vague way. So you have to kinda dig in to all the Sally’s experiences to find out real stuff.

To mention an example, Chakras are mentioned in the book but nearly in the end, that too very vaguely. Another book is mentioned there for reading about Chakras which should be actually the base of Meditation, in case you want to awaken your Kundalini.

Kundalini is also mentioned at the end and not much has been given about it. I was expecting more. Kind of disappointing to me, but no sad face. Whatever you read and learn, is never sufficient. I need more and thus I have ordered some more books. So, just keep watching this space till I get my hold on those books.

Live and Learn. 🙂

The Human Aura Astral Colors And Thought Forms

The Human Aura Astral Colors And Thought Forms

The Human Aura Astral Colors And Thought Forms

(By William Walker Atkinson)

It’s hard to finish a Non Fiction, specially harder when you redevelop your fetish for watching television shows. Still, I can say proudly that despite all the above hindrances I completed three non fictions this month. Namely “Chakra Balancing”, “The Secret” and now “The Human Aura Astral Colors And Thought Forms”. Strangely, I have to read all three of them simultaneously, as all are related to each other in some way or other. In order to understand the one, you should know about the other. That’s why it took me so long to post a book review. (Read my blog post on Chakra Balancing here).

Nevertheless, here I am. I completed “Chakra Balancing” and “The Secret” first. Human Aura I read about on and off, as required while studying the previous ones. Today, when I completed it, I realized just how much wisdom there is just lying in plain sight around us. So much energy and life, meaningful things that we completely ignore and rather focus on some trivial materialistic things.

Coming to the book, it begins with revealing what is actually Human Aura or Prana or Aabha as we call in Hindi. Prana is the Vital essence, The Life Force. This Prana Aura does not only reflect our being, but it reflects on what we are? What we are thinking? What state we are in? More importantly, how we are communicating with the universe?

When we feel something or are going through a particular emotion we are projecting that feeling through our Aura. This is mirrored in so many different colors, each corresponding to various feelings out there. I have dealt with the same in one of my previous post The Color Of Love. This topic is so vast though that it can not be covered in a single post. In the book, each color is explained with its corresponding state. Even the hue, tint and shade of a color make a huge difference towards the Aura visualization.

But, what is the so called Feeling that gets projected in these Aura’s colors. It is our Thoughts. Our thoughts who are manifested in our Aura in the forms of colors and vibrations. Vibrations that we send to our universe. They not only affect us, but also the persons who come in contact (not necessarily touching) with us. Have you ever thought how you feel sad in someone’s company, or why a Hospital always feels like a Morgue, or a playground feels like freedom? Have you thought, why did you label someone as a positive person and some as dull and boring or a pessimist? Most of the times what we feel about others is what their thoughts are projecting about them to the universe.

Another interesting aspect that this book talks about is about healing through Aura Magnetism. Healing with the help of a strong magnetic Aura is pretty old phenomenon. I have heard of many saints and god souls who have helped others by just touching them or giving them the life energy; Prana. This works on the same concept as Aura Projection. I have tried my hands at this too, and that too successfully. Cheers!!!

This book has dealt with many such concepts related to Human Aura, but still this subject is too vast and knowledge is so ancient that one can not fully capture it in one book. For a beginners sake this book is pretty good in answering some of the basic questions. Good introspective read. 🙂
