Why I have a Pink Bathroom?

If you have kids, you might agree with me, that most worrisome time of having kids in home, is when suddenly everything is quiet. No noise. Nothing. Just a big quiet. Maybe some distant giggling, and some hushed voices. Hush…..

This is when your sixth sense awaken to its full power and you start to consider everything that can go wrong at your home.

To cut the suspense, let me straight come to my story.

So, yesterday it suddenly became quiet and I got worried. You would have been too, if you have three toddlers at your home but no noise. But, being myself, I was too lazy to go check in on them. So instead I stayed back in my room with the love of my life โ€“ my couch and my Netflix. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

But, as if this universe thought that having three kids is not enough exercise for me; my phone rang. Phone that was in another room. Why universe? Why?

Now, I had to stand and walk. Walk whole 10 steps, just to pick up a phone. Argg….

There in complete darkness on my room, was light coming from the bathroom. I tried to listen to sounds coming from there. It was some giggle and laughs.

And there were those three thieves…. don’t panic. Not actual thief but my very own personal thieves, my kids, who were stealing my makeup from my bathroom.

Tisha, was leading them. She was painting boys toe nails with my pink nail polish. She herself had some glimmering lip gloss all over her face. Everything was pink there.

Why everything was looking pink to me? Did my eyes get some pink in them?

Nope.

It was my bathroom floor. Which looked like it just had a shower with pink color. To top it all, my pure white bathroom towels, were pink now, as if someone has tried to clean the bathroom’s pink stained floor with them. Cupboards with pink hand prints. Small devilish pink hands all over them. That was some Pink Storm!!

My kiddos? Well, they all were screaming, โ€œGo away Mamma. We are playingโ€. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

Girls are Drama. Little Girls are Drama Queen, and when it comes to my Kiddo Tisha, she is The Queen of Drama Queens. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

She is her Papa’s Princess, as every daughter is, but she really behaves like a Princess. She decline to walk. You can either take her in your lap or she will travel in Car. But, no walk. Not even to the Park. Infact before she steps out from home, first question she will ask is, โ€œAre we going by car, or walk?โ€ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

She is fashionable and pick her own clothes. Get dressed herself, that too, five times a day. Above all, she thinks, she doesn’t have enough clothes. This is when she has more clothes, than her two brothers have, combined.

Well, this post is not about confirming her Diva status, but a recent incident which made me laugh till there are tears in my eyes. ๐Ÿ˜€

It started one fine day, actually just day before yesterday, when she ventured outside barefooted. What did she catch? A Splinter.

She got a splinter in her foot. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Huge cry. Bucket of tears. Quite normal behavior you expect from a four(3.10) year old.

I caressed her and tried to calm her down. Got my tweezers and needle. Sterilize them and came to my daughter Tisha’s rescue.

First thing I heard….

Tisha: I will Kill. Mamma, I will Kill.

(meaning โ€“ I am going to die, mamma. She don’t know ‘die’ word yet. ๐Ÿ˜ )

Oh, that almost made me laugh, but I composed myself and told her, it will be alright. Soon, mamma will fix everything. You will be fine. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Tisha was constantly saying, โ€œI will kill, mamma. Save me.โ€ Till she saw tweezers in my hand.

Then there was a loud scream, and –

Tisha: Don’t kill me, Mamma. Don’t Kill me. Please Mamma, don’t kill me. Mamma, what are you doing? Are you going to Kill me? Please, mamma. Don’t Kill me.

I got her point. She was scared.

So I tried to console her by saying, “Tisha, I am your Doctor sweetie. I will fix you. Look, I have these tools to fix your pain, just like a Doctor do.”

Tisha: Doctor? You are my Doctor? (Crying more profoundly now)

Tisha: Doctors are Monsters. Mamma, you are going to kill me. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

I was laughing. Yes, I am ashamed of what I did. But, yes, I couldn’t control myself, and I laughed, and laughed, till my tummy hurt and there were tears in my eyes. By that time, splinter was securely out, but both of us were crying.

She was taken care of, with medicine and bandages (I used big ones, just to please her). She didn’t stepped down from the couch,w here she was resting, till her Papa came back.

First thing she said to her papa, โ€œPapa, I got Kill.โ€ ๐Ÿ˜›
