A Day With The Horses

A Day With The Horses
Tisha’s Day With The Horses

A day well spent is a day with the nature, and what better way than to join the best of what nature has to offer.

We stumbled upon one such place on our way to Columbia highway. How extraordinary are those experiences when you found something you like, even when you were not looking for it. That’s what happened with my Hubby, when he was driving along the highway, and I pointed at the large number of horses roaming alongside.

It didn’t took more than a minute when he turned the wheels and went straight to them. I couldn’t even completed, “Where the hell are you going?”, and he was there.

It was a very large compound with lots and lots of different sized horses, from racing horses to ones for the breeding, sick horses for healing, to just some privately owned horses for training.

Only one who seemed more exciting than my hubby, was my little daughter Tisha. She was so happy that she was dancing all around those horses. She has always loved them. She is riding horses since she was two. 🙂

What surprises me, and I liked about that place was, that all the stables were clean and big enough for the horses, unlike what I have experienced before.

We also witnessed a newly born pony, and her over protective mother. It was Tisha’s favorite horse, now she is asking her Papa to buy her a pony horse. 🙂

What about my twin boys? Well, they were sleeping peacefully in the car, before we suddenly introduced them to beautiful horses. It took some time for them to get adjusted, and then they were all up for it. Playing and enjoying with them.

I was scared. How couldn’t I be? Most of them were more than 7 feet taller, and so big, with their big nostrils flaring as I was taking their pic. I excused myself from that ferocious stable, and move to the ones who were their for healing, and are up-to my acceptable level of size limits 🙂

Our party could have continued, if not rained. We finally packed, and leave with the hope of visiting them soon.

However, clicked some pics for you to enjoy. 🙂

Quote of the Day –

Once my hubby said, “I like neat and clean home“, then we had three kids, and rest is history.

Strange World Of Man’s Deodorant

All the ads that you are watching on your television set are over the top (literally 🙂 ), but if you specifically focus on the Deo ads for men, they are so (over) exaggerating.

I am even afraid of getting one for my hubby, what if he will go out wearing one of these Deodorant, and semi nude girls starts jumping on him all over the place. It would be a hell of a sight though. Just don’t tell my hubby, what if he decides to shop for himself 😛

Their is a new ad that is coming on tv for a famous Deo, where a girl who incidentally is quietly flying a kite on rooftop, gets distracted by smell of a man/boy who is at-least two or three houses away from her. She lost her kite and herself too, as shown in the ad in, so not subtle way. So, she asks a kid (presumably his little brother, flying kite alongside her), to go downstairs, and she herself climbs and jump roofs to reach the cute looking boy. Poor soul, he didn’t even have any dialogues. Okay so this girl unties her hairs (this is the extent to which Indian ads can go 🙂 thankfully), and cut loose boy’s kite. That’s it. Meanwhile, it was also shown that boy has sprinkled himself with a butt-load of Deo.

Now, first thing first, why would any man would like to use a Deo, which will smell from two buildings away. Won’t he will be sensible enough to know that it’s the biggest turn off if a man is smelling (doesn’t matter if it’s a pleasant smell) from such a distance. No girl would prefer to go out with a Flower Garden.

Other thing that is puzzling me is, why did she asked the kid to go away and not watch what she was about to do? I mean she didn’t do anything other than to cut the boy’s kite. Maybe she didn’t wanted the kid to learn bad manners. 😛

One more takeaway from this ad boys, If you will use this Deo, girls will come to you from two blocks away, but as soon as they will reach you, they will destroy something of yours, and will leave immediately. No, they are not going to stay with you to play girlfriend-boyfriend.

As long as these ads are here, I don’t feel the need to switch to any comedy show. 😛

Now, I am off to buy a Deo for my hubby, would just put a sticky on his back saying, “Taken”.

Remembering My Mom

You will understand it, when you will have kids of your own”.

This was the pet dialogue of my mom, which she said every-time I did something, she didn’t approved of (used to happen a lot actually).

I do understand it now. Just can’t say to her, that you were right, Mom.

Just few days back, on Mother’s day, I was discussing with my friends that how girls are always their father’s daughters. Every time you will ask a girl, she will say that she idolizes her father. Then, they asked me, How is Tisha like?

Tisha, my daughter, I know that she adores her father, love him more than anyone else in this world. She will dress up, and will giggle around her papa, just to seek his approval and once he will admire her looks, she will shyly look at her mamma, as if saying, Papa loves me more.

But deep down, I know she loves me more. Honestly. 🙂

(Now don’t feel jealous, Papa. You should be happy knowing that you comes in second best place.)

I was in awe of my Papa too. (still am, and always will be). I think of him as the bestest of best, man on this whole world. No one is even near him (again, don’t feel jealous, hubby). But, with mamma it was something else. I was not in awe of her. I used to have my fights with her, all that nagging and then ending the statement with, “You will never understand me”. She also used to say her famous words, now you are not understanding, but you will know it once you will have kids of your own.

When I reflect upon our relationship now, I actually think of it, as we were more of friends than  a mother-daughter. We had our fights, but we always used to make up, we sometimes won’t talk to each other, but soon we used to forget about what we were fighting for. It was like a never ending friendship. We were each others weakness and strengths too. She was always the first one who supported me when I took some of the biggest decision of my life. She was the one who actually inspired me to always take a stand for myself. Ironically, she never practiced that.

She was the good one, silent type, never saying anything bad to others, even when they behaved badly. I was the opposite one. It felt so strange and irritating to me at that time, how she used to behave so good towards people who she didn’t even liked. I used to hate this thing about her. But, when I hear someone talk about my mother, and they would talk of her qualities, I know, showing love to everyone, no matter what, was one of her best quality. I have still to learn that trick. Maybe with time I will be gentle on people, who really deserve hatred. I am trying, mamma.

But, it would be better, if you would have been here to tell me rights from wrong. I still need some learning to do. I have kids of my own now, but still, I want to understand more, from You.

Religion and My Ignorance

Religion and My Ignorance
Religion and My Ignorance

I have read so many mysteries and thrillers, but most mysterious and thrilling stories are from our Religious notions. There is so much that we don’t know, still there is so much that we believe in. Believing in something which we don’t know fully, still we have full faith in our beliefs. I am writing this post cause my curious mind took me to a journey of some of the widely practiced religions and stories behind them.

I am ashamed to say that I knew so little about them, even right now, I am so unsure of my limited knowledge(rather say ignorance), but I am eager to learn.

For instance, I didn’t knew that three of the most popular religions, Christianity, Judaism and Islam, originated from one. But, I did knew that, Hinduism is considered as the oldest Religion and it has given birth to several most widely practiced other religions too, like Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism. Most astounding fact being, that all these religions emerging from Hinduism are in accord and harmony (as far as I know).

Buddha

The case is not same with Christinaism, Judaism, and Islam. They started from the same Abrahamic belief, and then along the way they distinguished themselves and took separate paths. A path which now seem, so extreme from each other that one can never imagine that their roots were in the very same area of Jerusalem.

Religion and My Ignorance
Religion and My Ignorance

A holy place captured and attacked so many times in history, and now surrounded by walls reaching the sky. A holy place which is the center point for the most controversial religious debates between three major Religions of the world. I wonder if God still resides there, enclosed in those walls.

This actually reminds me of my visit to disputed Ram temple site of Ayodhya, India. A place of worship and faith, surrounded by army and police, guarded in such a way, to make you feel like, distant from your own God. I read about and also watched some documentary on Jerusalem, and the only thought that came to my mind was, why can’t they all live in peace accepting each others Religion. What’s wrong if person of two religion wants to pray in a single place?

Religion and My Ignorance
Krishna

It strikes me, how I felt about the Ram Temple and Babri Masjid disorder. How would I feel, if I am praying their and at the same time my Muslim friend is offering his prayers too? Will it create more discord, or, it just won’t matter, as long as we both have a right to express our religious beliefs freely?

Religion and My Ignorance
Religion and My Ignorance

It’s too complicated, or maybe not. I am trying to understand, what need not require understanding. Religion is not meant to be interpreted. It’s for believing. It’s for practicing my beliefs, without hurting others. It should be about love and closeness with the Lord, and not about building walls. I believe in that.
