I Thought My Husband Was Going Deaf

I Thought My Husband Was Going Deaf

A normal day to day conversation between me and my hubby, Abhishek Singh.

Me: When do you want to have dinner?

Hubby: Hmn.

Me: Shall I bring the food?

Hubby: Hmn. (while watching TV)

Me: I am bringing the food. Okay?

Hubby: Hmmn. What? okay….

I have served food and now waiting for him to eat. Kids are already circling around like vultures, just not for eating but to topple everything and create a mess.

Me: Come, it’s getting cold.

Hubby: Hmn. okay.

Me: (after 5 minutes) Come and sit. (In a high pitch voice now, actually little higher than high)

Hubby: (as if he has just woken up) What? Why did you served it? I don’t want to eat right now?

Me: WHAT??? (I don’t have to tell you, what was my voice pitch at that point)

Hubby: I told you. Not now. I am not hungry.

Me: You could have said it to me earlier. When I asked you, I think just a hundred times. Angry smile

Hubby: Oh, didn’t I say it. Oh. Okay, I will eat later. Sorry yaar. (With a smile on his face. Not helpful at all)

I am now babbling so many things at once. Putting back everything, before kids get any chance to ruin whatever is left.

After 5 minutes.

Me: So, when do you want to eat? After how much time?

Hubby: Hmmn.

I thought there must be some problem with my hubby Abhishek Singh’s ears, but later when I share my ordeal with my friends, I realized this disease is pretty common and incurable. 😦

It’s called Being Husband.

P.S. Abhishek Singh, DO Read This Post.

Enough Seriousness, Let’s Read Some Fun

Enough Seriousness, Let's Read Some Fun
Enough Seriousness, Let’s Read Some Fun

Since last two months I am reading books on Meditation, Yoga, Chakra, Buddhism, and Holistic Healing etc. So, believe me when I say that these two months have been very hard in terms of reading. It took me double the time to read these kinds of book, than I have taken to read a murder mystery or a fantasy or thriller. It’s just so hard to read and learn.

It reminded me the time when I used to study my course books. Gosh! How I used to wish that phase to get over. Reading is my favorite activity but it becomes a task when you are reading to learn new things. I mean you always learn, when you are reading, even if you are reading Twilight kinds. At least I learned how boring it could be to love a vampire, just staring in the eyes, for hours and hours. Boring.

Enough Seriousness, Let's Read Some Fun
Enough Seriousness

When I was reading all those books, they did give me a different perspective of life. Whole universe and our existence in it, harmony of our body with the nature around us. This perspective helps in answering a lot of questions about everything that happens in life. It helps us to bear the pain of tragedies, it also helps in controlling the flow of happiness, to be at ease with ourselves.

But, sometimes, you have to let loose. Life is supposed to be fun along with true happiness. So, now I have picked out a fun read. Watermelon, a chick flick, a girly girly read. Irony, it’s also based on a tragedy in the protagonist life. But, it’s written with wit and I am kind of liking it so far. Will post a review as soon as I’ll finish it. This time I am positive that it won’t take much long.

So, let’s have some fun. Happy Reading. Angel

Cutest Bye Bye

Cutest Bye Bye
Cutest Bye Bye

Do you say Bye when you leave for the market or gym?

You may or may not be doing it everyday and to everyone. But, I am sure of one thing you would not be doing. Saying bye to your home.

My kids, do that. So, whenever they leave their home they say bye bye to everyone and everything that is left behind, like our home. And this they do every time, even when they are going away just for few minutes. Sweet right?

Yesterday, while going to gym I heard the cutest bye bye from them.

When we were leaving I heard Tisha saying – “Bye bye Home. No crying, okay. I will come. I love you. Okay. Bye. I will come soon.

Lucky Home 🙂

Then Otu also joined her and they both sing bye bye to everything, yes everything.

Bye bye car (to the other parked cars), bye bye tree, bye bye dogie (dog), bye chair, bye bye ball…..”.

Guess, my home is blessed with kids having Love for everyone and everything. 🙂

9 things you may not know about me….

9 things you may not know about me....(I am second from left in the bottom row, only girl wearing full length leggings)

Here are the 10 Things that you may not know about me.

  1. I used to be a nerd during my school days. Just don’t have glasses on my eyes, but I was always immersed in my books. I had very few school friends, and I am not in touch with almost anyone from my school days.

  2. My family once thought that I got kidnapped or lost somewhere, and they searched the whole neighborhood. All this time, I was sleeping peacefully under the bed.

  3. I used to write a lot of poetry in my school days. No one has read my poems, still have them, but I don’t write anymore.

  4. When I was in my fourth standard, my father promised me a bicycle, if I would come first in my class. I achieved that, and since then I was always among toppers. I am very stubborn when I want something. I have gone to great lengths to get what I wanted, and still do so.

  5. My friends in my college life are very precious to me, they are the ones who introduced me to my social side. My teachers used to call me a chatterbox in college. I was friendlier to everyone and now I am in touch with almost all of them.

  6. My father has always been my  idol and my inspiration. I always wanted to be like him, but when I gave birth to my kids and started raising them, I realized that I am actually a carbon copy of my mother. However, this realization came very late in my life.

  7. I have always loved myself. Every bit of it. I like to put myself first then others. Mantra of my life is – If I am not happy, I can not make you happy. Maybe that’s why I have never had any regrets in my life.

  8. Biggest turn on for me: intelligent conversation, wholeheartedly laugh and good sense of humor. Biggest turn off: fake laugh, too much pleasing nature, self praise.

  9. I don’t like girly girls. I don’t like makeup. Don’t like over dramatic and fake people. I like girls who are self-dependent ( does not mean financially, but emotionally and physically too), girls who are ambitious and practical too. Girls with identity of their own.

  10. Out of all the statements, one is not true. I would like to keep some of my secrets from the world.   🙂
