Wednesday Words – Let Them Suffocate In Closet

Let Them Suffocate In Closet

Recently I came across a news where a wife filmed his husband in homosexual acts, which lead to arrest of the guy, as under section 377 in India, homosexuality is a criminal act. Why this caught my attention, is because in this case both parties, husband as well as wife, both are victims and still both are at fault too.

The couple married a year back but recently they started living together. That is when wife came to suspect his hubby’s lack of interest in her. So, after failing to take him to see a doctor and resolve marital issues; she decided to install hidden cameras in her home. Which lead to wife confirming her doubts of marrying a gay man.

To bring someone to the extent that they have to install hidden cameras and arrange proofs of infidelity, it is sad.

Wife is a victim in this case, because she married someone thinking him to be the person who will love her, and only her, throughout his life. She wanted a straight guy, loving husband; instead she got a man who can not even confide in her and tell her in simple words – “I am Gay”. What could have been great if he could have had the courage to speak out these words, before he got married to a female.

Maybe if he could have come clean with his wife earlier, he could have been free. Free to commit this so called criminal act of homosexuality, within the safety of his home, without any peeping security cameras hidden in a corner. He could be doing this crime, without ever being caught.

But, is it that easy? No. I don’t think so. In a society where homosexuality is treated as a taboo and a crime by everyone around you, including family and friends; it is hard to live peacefully. It could be that his parents forced him into a marriage thinking that marrying a girl will turn him somehow to a straight guy. As if it’s a disease, and with a right combination of antibodies, it can be treated.

It could also be that being a coward, he said nothing to his parents and thought by marrying a girl, their question regarding his personal life, will stop. So, he decided, that marriage is easier than answering your parents worried questions. Great!! what about wife? Oh, women are always submissive, she will quiet down after some time.

It’s not like that they come from uneducated background. Both parties are working in high reputed firms; are independent; and educated. Maybe that’s why, wife decided to not lay low and get her life ruined. She did wrong, by invading the privacy of her husband and filming him, but what option was left for her.

She did tried to convince parents from both sides, that something is wrong. But, as happen normally, she was asked to be quiet and compromise for a happy married life. What would you have done?

I seriously feel pity for the husband. His only fault, that I see, is ruining a girl’s life by marrying her in false pretenses. Ironically, he is condemned and arrested for his Love towards another man, and not for his infidelity. 😦

Wednesday Words – Do Not Marry a Tall Guy

Marrying a tall guy is like marrying your Prince Charming, but even Mr. Charming comes into your life with pros and cons…. remember snow white’s love struggle. 😮

Point taken. So, once you decide to get married to a tall guy, there will be some pros and many cons too…. I will not share much of the details, just one interesting one or should I say, most irritating habit of my tall hubby – Abhishek Singh.

I became a victim of it, in the very first few days of our married life, when I asked him to hang a small mirror for me, near the basin. You know, I love mirrors, specially when I am in it 😀 He obliged. Such a good husband. Right?? 😉

Wait for it……… and there it was…. A mirror on the wall, only problem, it was only showing my forehead. just my forehead…. rest of me was nowhere in the mirror. 😦 Yes!!!! He placed it as per his height. “I can clearly see my face. Look! What else you want?”, he said, seeing my dissatisfied (more like angry wife) look. 😡

I understood at that time, that it’s going to be long road ahead.

Now, my car keys are over the fridge top, my phone somehow get landed there too, along with mails and my watch…. just within the reach of my hubby, and out from me. His wallet too. I can understand the car keys and the rest. I can live with or without them… But, His wallet??? Are you kidding me? How many tricks I have to do now, to get a hold of his wallet, daily? Is he playing smart? I doubt. :-/

Everything in my home, is now placed at the topmost shelf. Sometimes I use chair, table or my kids toys (I just throw the toys at things, till they fall down 😐 or something else falls. You can always blame kids if anything goes wrong). Whenever I  confront him, he would say, ‘I have put it on the top shelf so the kids don’t reach’, But, that much higher?? seriously? Leave kids, even I can not reach there. 😡

Height of it was, when he put all of my shoes in top shelf of our shoe cupboard. Actually he used three cartons and put all of my beautiful sandals and shoes to the top. Reason – ‘kids create a mess with your shoes.’ 😦

Sometimes I use it to my advantage too. Like when he ask me to give him car keys, or his credit card. I would just say, ‘Oh, It’s so high, I just couldn’t reach, Please help yourself’ 😉

Or, ‘ Can you please bring me my shoes. It’s at the top, you see.’

I am smart too. 😛

Wednesday Words – Once A Year Baseball

Most of the Life’s good things comes as a surprise.

It’s surprisingly true when it comes to experience that we encounter now and then, as most of them happen to be unplanned.

This time we stumbled on the opportunity to watch a baseball game. What is so special about this game?

Well, this game is played only once a year. Cool Right??? 😎

We were coming back from Colombia, MO; when we happen to witness a baseball match, going on in nearby field (along highway). As enthusiastic my husband is towards sports, he took the nearest exit and there we were, in that field.

It was a match played and organized by a community, and all the players and audience have gathered there from different places.  Some came from Ohio, some Memphis, mid Missouri and all the places within the distance of 5 hour drive.

It was a marathon baseball match which was played between 9 teams. It started in morning and lasted till late evening. They played whole day and their well wisher and cheering squad motivated all the teams, from morning till the end.

Most amazing thing about that match was, that it was played for a charity. All the earnings from that match was donated for a cause to New Horizons Ministries.

It was a great match for a great cause. Kids enjoyed it and me too, as I met some beautiful friends there. All the girls there, were so nice and friendly, I love spending time with them.
